Ari Grinspan

Ari Grinspan is an assistant professor of medicine and director of GI microbial therapeutics at Mount Sinai Health System, where he completed his fellowship in gastroenterology. Hepioneered the fecal microbiota transplant (FMT) program at Mount Sinai to treat recurrent and refractory Clostridium difficile infection, a program which has developed into a referral center for the New York tri-state area. Grinspan’s research focuses on exploring the utility of FMT in clinical practice, with Clostridium difficile infections and inflammatory bowel disease. He is seeking to understand the intricate relationship between the gut microbiome and the human host and how microbial manipulation can lead to health or disease.
