Ann Bonham

Chief Scientific Officer, American Association of Medical Colleges

Ann C. Bonham is chief scientific officer at the American Association of Medical Colleges, where she directs programs supporting all aspects of research and research training. She serves on the Institute of Medicine Forum on Drug Discovery, Development, and Translation and the Department of Veterans Affairs National Research Advisory Council. Prior to joining AAMC, Bonham served as executive associate dean for academic affairs and professor of pharmacology and internal medicine at the University of California at Davis School of Medicine, where she was on faculty for nearly 20 years. She was awarded the 2012 Distinguished Alumni Award for Achievement from the University of Iowa Carver School of Medicine.
