Director, New Voices Fellowship, The Aspen Institute

Andrew Quinn is a long-time journalist who leads the Aspen Institute’s New Voices Fellowship, which is training a new cadre of experts from developing countries to communicate effectively in the media and play a larger role in championing solutions for global development work. He was previously a foreign correspondent with Reuters for more than 20 years, reporting on everything from post-Tiananmen China to the Baghdad trial of Saddam Hussein. Quinn’s more recent assignments also included a stint as Southern Africa bureau chief during the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic and more than three years traveling the world with then secretary of state Hillary Clinton as Reuters’ State Department correspondent.
