Amy Walter is national editor of The Cook Political Report, providing analysis of the issues, trends, and events that shape the political environment, and writes a weekly column for the online publication. She provides weekly political analysis — along with debate, convention, and election-night coverage — for “PBS NewsHour,” and is a regular panelist on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Fox News’ “Special Report with Bret Baier,” and CBS’ “Face the Nation.” Walter was previously political director of ABC News and senior editor of the Cook Political Report. Named one of Washingtonian magazine’s Top 50 Journalists, she has won the Washington Post’s Crystal Ball Award for her election predictions.
