Betty Gage Holand Chair, Department of Neurology, Emory University
Allan Levey is a professor and the Betty Gage Holland Chair of the Department of Neurology at Emory University, as well as the director of Emory’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. Levey has secondary faculty appointments in the departments of pharmacology and psychiatry and behavioral sciences. He is a neurologist and neuroscientist internationally recognized for his work in contributing to understanding the brain systems and mechanisms involved in neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, and in identifying molecular targets for new therapeutic strategies.
