Alexa Clay is an expert on subculture and innovation from unlikely places, working to create opportunities for misfit subcultures within the formal economy. She is founder of Wisdom Hackers, an incubator for philosophical inquiry, and co-founder of the League of Intrapreneurs, a movement to create change from within incumbent systems and organizations. She’s currently leading an operation to rediscover America’s true north in partnership with BLK SHP. Clay is co-author of The Misfit Economy. A regular commentator on economic transition, social entrepreneurship, and technology angst, she has written for and appeared in Fast Company, Forbes, Wired, Dazed and Confused, VICE, Harvard Business Review, The New York Times, and on MTV.
