Cellist; Artistic Director and Founder, Silk Road Project; Harman-Eisner Artist in Residence, The Aspen Institute

Yo-Yo Ma is an acclaimed cellist and artistic director of the Silk Road Project. He is Judson and Joyce Green Creative Consultant to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and serves on the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities. Whether performing a new concerto or familiar work, playing chamber music with colleagues, reaching out to young audiences and student musicians, or exploring cultures through music, Ma seeks connections that stimulate the imagination. He is a Harman-Eisner Artist in Residence at the Aspen Institute.
