From Promise to Reality: Ivy League Privilege v. Urban Poverty

The story of inequality is the story of two Americas. Robert Peace, who grew up impoverished in Newark but graduated from Yale University, inhabited both. He straddled the worlds of the Ivy League and the drug trade until, just years after graduation, he was murdered in a drug-related shooting. Jeff Hobbs comes from the America of abundant opportunity. His path crossed with Peace’s at Yale, where the two were roommates. Hear Hobbs' story of chance, loss, and an American dream cut short as he considers the life of his friend, Robert Peace.
