The Piano in World Civilization

Celebrating the instrument's approximate 300th birthday, Juilliard music educator David Dubal will offer a music-filled discussion and demonstration to trace the spread of the piano through the music of the World, how the piano has influenced the traditions themselves, and how playing it has stylistically developed with different composers - with the help of World renowned concert pianist Jung Lin, who will perform several compositions.
