How Can Technology Address Neglected Societal Problems?

Against the backdrop of the crisis of the ‘trickle down’ theory, entrepreneurs are aligning to drive innovation directly to enhance inclusiveness by creating affordable solutions to acute and neglected societal problems. While this challenge faces both developing and developed societies, the response is different. This session will ask how can this vision address neglected needs in societies, where neither the government nor the private sector offer an adequate remedy, primarily supporting employability, productivity, inclusiveness and quality of life for all.
