Dynamic Demographics: Crisis or Opportunity?

The World stands at a population crossroads. Growth rates are booming and global growth centers are shifting. Populations in the developed world are aging and declining in numbers as birth rates fail to keep pace with the death rate. How will these shifts influence security on a regional and/or global scale? How will they impact social and economic stability? Will mass migration, which has already begun, fill demographic, economic, and societal voids, or will it cause even greater instabilities and insecurities?
