A Look Back on Aspen Ideas
Aspen Ideas 2017 brought thoughtful discussion and unique perspectives to the questions and issues facing the world today. Thought leaders weighed in on health, politics, morality, technology, global affairs, and more. Sessions were recorded and can be found on our website. (More will be added over the coming weeks, so check back often). In addition, our speakers wrote dozens of guest blogs, covering online hate speech, robots and ethics, and a post-factual era in politics, to name a few of the compelling topics covered.
And don’t miss a special series of interviews from the Festival on our podcast. A group of journalists “took over” Aspen Ideas to Go and interviewed other Festival presenters about race, reproductive health, climate change, writing, and Broadway. Also this summer, listen for bonus episodes of the podcast that showcase more of the Festival. Subscribe on Apple Podcasts, find the show on NPR One, or listen on SiriusXM’s Insight channel.
Mark your calendar! The 2018 Aspen Ideas Festival will take place June 22 - July 1. General registration opens November 15 (Society of Fellows members may register starting Nov. 8).
“To be at peace, to be really happy, is to be wholehearted. And your self gets in the way of being wholehearted.” — David Brooks, 2017 Aspen Ideas
