What Not to Miss at the 2015 Festival
In addition to our traditional format of Plenary sessions, Tutorials, and Aspen Exchanges, look out for the following new programming and inventive spaces at the Festival:
You Can Learn Anything
Hands-on, interactive, small-group sessions designed to introduce attendees to new ideas and skills. From coding to playing the ukulele to everything you need to know about the Constitution, you'll leave these one-hour sessions with a new skillset or simply a new perspective. .
Offered on several afternoons throughout the Festival, these 90-minute symposiums feature interviews, debates, panels, and more. From policing in America to job creation to how to rethink mathematics, Deep Dive sessions gather top experts and thinkers to focus on various issues in greater depth and in mixed formats — contained within one extended block of time.
Dialogue continues from the morning’s plenaries and tutorials in this curated series of luncheon dialogues. Festival speakers and moderators will engage ten attendees in an open, thoughtful investigation of a specific question drawing on the Festival’s diverse themes. (Sign-ups required.)
Explore galaxies, oceans, and natural wonders in The Eye, a geodesic dome that will become an immersive cinema and venue for live talks and demonstrations during the Festival.
The Ideas Pavilion
A new and innovative outdoor lounge space where Festival goers can grab a coffee, relax, and mingle with other attendees and speakers. Head there for lunch daily, special tastings at 4 PM, and even some programming. Watch the Agenda for details.
