More Americans Have Health Coverage

Last week, Gallup reported that the rate of uninsured Americans has sunk to 12.9 percent. According to the research firm, "the uninsured rate has dropped 4.2 percentage points since the Affordable Care Act's requirement for Americans to have health insurance went into effect one year ago." During last summer's inaugural Spotlight Health, Thomas A. Scully (former Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services administrator), Peter R. Orszag (former director of the Office of Management and Budget), and T.R. Reid (journalist and filmmaker of U.S. Healthcare: The Good News) discussed the merits and issues surrounding Obama Care. Watch this short video where, as if writing a report card, each gives ACA a letter grade.

Designing a Better World
Mick Ebeling, founder of The Ebeling Group (TEG), traces his journey to Sudan to set up what is probably the world's first 3D-printing prosthetic lab and training facility where prosthetic limbs are printed for war survivors at a fraction of what they would cost in developed countries. Read about this amazing feat in his just released book Not Impossible. Ebeling will be a featured speaker at Spotlight Health.
