2025 Health Speaker Preview

Take a sneak peek at some of the big thinkers and innovative doers who will take the stage at Aspen Ideas: Health from June 22-25, 2025!

Aspen Ideas: Health is where health's biggest challenges meet today's biggest thinkers. The 2025 program will be designed around six thought-provoking themes and feature conversations with more than 150 innovators who are reimagining the future of health, medicine, and science in the United States and around the world. Get to know some of the inspiring leaders confirmed to join us in June:

Brooke Anderson, President of Pivotal Ventures, will discuss the future of philanthropy and its role in accelerating progress in women's health and the broader health landscape.

Ai-jen Poo, President of the National Domestic Workers Alliance and Executive Director of Caring Across Generations, will explore the policy changes and cultural shifts needed to strengthen the caregiving economy. 

Richard Besser, President and CEO of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, will challenge us to take action and build partnerships to advance health equity.

Nita Farahany, author of “The Battle for Your Brain” and Founding Director of the Duke Initiative for Science & Society, will lead us on a deep dive into the ethical, legal, and social implications of emerging neurotechnologies. 

Nutritional psychiatry pioneer Uma Naidoo, author of “Calm Your Mind with Food”, will decode the complex relationship between our diet and mood. 

Neuroengineer Kafui Dzirasa, Distinguished Professor at Duke University, will share emerging science about how the brain’s electrical patterns can be reengineered to treat anxiety, depression, and other mental illnesses. 

Wendy Suzuki, Professor of Neural Science and Psychology at New York University, will get us moving to demonstrate how aerobic exercise can be used to improve learning, memory, and other cognitive abilities.

Jen Hecht, Director of Building Healthy Online Communities, and Mohan Sundararaj, Managing Director of Grindr For Equality, will give us an inside look at how public health and dating apps are collaborating to promote STD testing and provide accurate health information. 

Deepak Chopra, integrative medicine pioneer and author of “Digital Dharma”, will provide enlightening insights about the ways artificial intelligence can expand human consciousness.

Wellcome Leap CEO Regina Dugan will discuss how new models for health research and innovation can change the business of breakthroughs on a global scale.

Uché Blackstock, Founder of Advancing Health Equity, will reflect on her compelling memoir, “Legacy”, and the changes needed to build a strong and resilient healthcare workforce.

Hip Hop Public Health Co-Founders Doug E. Fresh and Olajide Williams will share how a rapper and a physician joined forces to reimagine health education by harnessing the power of music and culture. 

Acclaimed photographer George Steinmetz will take us on a visual journey of the world’s food systems––and the forces that threaten them––through his latest project, “Feed the Planet”.

Lonnie Ali, Co-Founder of the Muhammad Ali Center, will provide new insights on the state of compassion in America and why our well-being depends on stronger social connections. 

Kristin Myers, Associate Professor at Columbia University, will explain how engineering and medicine are partnering to create “digital twins” that will help develop more precise clinical interventions for patients.

Alice Park, Senior Health Correspondent at TIME, will lead conversations with experts about the audacious science transforming health and medicine.
