Tom Kean

Former Governor of New Jersey

Tom Kean is the retired former president of Drew University, which he led from 1990 to 2005. He chaired the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States from 2002 to 2004, culminating with the release of the 9/11 Commission Report, and then chaired the 9/11 Public Discourse Project. Kean was governor of New Jersey (R) from 1982 to 1990. His extensive service currently includes board chair of Carnegie Corporation of New York and the Environmental Defense Fund board. He writes a regular column for The Star Ledger and has numerous awards from environmental and educational organizations.
