Siddhartha Mukherjee is a cancer physician and researcher. He is an assistant professor of medicine at Columbia University and a cancer physician at the CU/NYU Presbyterian Hospital. Mukherjee was a Rhodes scholar and a fellow at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute as well as an attending physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. His book The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer was awarded the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction and named one of the ten best books of 2010 by the New York Times Book Review. He has also published articles in Nature, New England Journal of Medicine, Neuron, Journal of Clinical Investigation, The New York Times, and The New Republic.
