
Salman Khan
Salman Khan is the founder and sole faculty member of the Khan Academy, a not-for-profit organization with the mission of providing a free, world-class education to anyone, anywhere. Khan Academy now consists of self-paced software, and with over one million unique students per month, it is the most-used educational video repository on the Internet. Since Khan first began posting math tutorials in 2004, Khan Academy has delivered over 45 million lessons. All 2,200-plus video tutorials—covering everything from basic addition to advanced calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology—have been made by Khan. Prior to founding the Academy, Khan was a senior analyst at a hedge fund and had also worked in technology and venture capital.
