Executive Vice President and Chief Insights Officer, Microsoft Corporation

Mark Penn is executive vice president and chief insights officer at Microsoft. He was previously worldwide CEO of Burson-Marsteller and CEO of Penn Schoen Berland, which he founded and led for 35 years. Penn was White House pollster to President Clinton for six years, chief strategist to Hillary Clinton, and has helped elect more than 25 global leaders including Tony Blair. He authored Microtrends: The Small Forces Behind Tomorrow’s Big Changes and was a columnist for The Wall Street Journal, Time.com, POLITICO, and Huffington Post. He is a visiting lecturer at Harvard College, teaching American Public opinion there, a Council on Foreign Relations member, and serves on the Meridian International Center board.  He recently founded The Stagwell Group, a new company that will invest in digital marketing services.
