David Janka

David Janka is a co-founder of CompactCath from Stanford University. Previously, he spent a year in Kampala, Uganda as a Doris Duke fellow. Having explored infectious diseases research and HIV clinical trials, he discovered the power of design thinking while taking courses at the Stanford d.school. After graduating from the Stanford School of Medicine, Janka joined the d.school as a fellow, serving on the teaching teams for Design Thinking Bootcamp and Design for Extreme Affordability, while working to integrate design-thinking principles into medical education, health care delivery, medical device design, and global health practice.
