Dalia Mogahed

Research Director, Institute for Social Policy and Understanding

Dalia Mogahed is director of research at the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, a think tank focused on challenges and opportunities in the Muslim American community. She is former executive director of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies. President Barack Obama appointed her to the President’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships in 2009. She co-authored the book Who Speaks for Islam? What a Billion Muslims Really Think. Mogahed has testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee about US engagement with Muslim communities. The World Economic Forum named her a Young Global Leader and she is a member of the WEF’s Agenda Council on the Arab World.
