In 2009, 38 percent of polled Americans thought most Iraqi people are grateful for the US getting rid of Saddam Hussein, 44 percent thought that the Iraqi people were resentful, 7 percent thought that they were both and 11 percent were unsure. In 2010, 41 percent of polled Americans thought the Iraqi people were grateful, 37 percent through they were resentful, 10 percent thought they were both grateful and resentful and 12 percent were unsure.
